Well it took a while, but we did it! We ripped up the carpet and fixed up the floors underneath. What a transformation!

Ok, so it’s been a LONG time since I have blogged on this site. Jeez. So much has happened in the past several months!

Livi is still an Angel and getting bigger by the day. Where does time go? She’s SO close to being potty trained it’s awesome. I think she just sometimes ‘forgets’ about it and once she goes in her pullup that’s when she’ll run to the bathroom and try to go then. But she’s doing great. She’s still in a huge Dora and Diego phase, but it’s moving on to Princesses and such. She LOVES dressing up in her ‘princess clothes’ and shoes and playing princess. It’s really adorable!

For home improvements we have ripped up our carpet that was in the living room and hallway. There is hard wood floors underneath, and they are actually in pretty good shape. There is two spots that aren’t that great, but they are in spots where it’ll be easy to cover up until we decide to refinish them. I will definately put pics up under ‘home improvements’ to show all of our work. Next step: paint! We haven’t decided on the ‘exact’ color yet, but we have some in mind. It’ll be a tannish color though. Yay!

Ok, so I promised new pics of Livi’s room, and haven’t posted any. Hey, it’s been pretty hectic lately! I’ll post one or two, and give the link if anyone’s interested in seeing all phases together. Yeah!

Training is going very very well – our last day is tomorrow. Then onto the real world! lol. I’m really looking forward to it actually, but I guess we’ll see how I feel about it Thurs. I really hate starting new jobs. It sucks. You go into it not knowing any fellow employees or customers and it always takes so long to get to “know” them. argh. NOT looking forward to relearning customers. I LOVED my old customers at USBank. They were absolute sweethearts, and it was nice going to work every day. I just hope it becomes like that here too…

Well with my first week of training behind me, all I can say is BORING. I guess coming from a banking background, working in various positions around the bank, going through basic teller school is stuff I already know. This upcoming week we’re going to delve into PNC’s system and such, so I’m hoping it’ll be fun. It is nice in the aspect that there’s only me and 4 other people in class though.

So we almost have the room (finally) finished! It will be done today since we really only have touchups, and I will show you pics of the finished project, yay! It looks so much nicer then I thought it would! Now we just need new carpet…

I have to AW my friend Angie and how beautiful she looked on her wedding day! Isn’t she gorgeous!?

Why does it take us so long to paint? Ugh! But we finished another coat of primer and started painting the green this weekend. Yay! It looks so nice, and I’m so excited to see it completely finished. I’m going to try to work on it more today when (if) Livi takes a nap, but we’ll see how it goes. I was hoping that it would be done by today so she would be able to sleep in her room before I had to start work. It’s just so hard on the weekends to get anything done since all it is is running and visiting. Not that that is bad, but I really want to get the freakin room done. Lol. Here is a newer pic with the green. We still have lots to do…

Well, we got an Elmo, YAY! So, one down, one to go. I’m so completely engrossed in the hunt now, I don’t know how my life will ever go back to normal. HA! It’s SO doable though.

Ok, a new obsession. Why do I want it? Well, I guess I could say that Livi wants it (she does) but honestly, at her age, Elmo is Elmo. She can’t distinguish between this one or that one. So I guess it just boils down to…I want it. Yes, I want a freakin Elmo doll. And the thing is, he was available for pre-order for quite some time now. But i didn’t want him then. I want him now. Emily and i spent last night, calling around the tri-state area to find one with no luck. Tomorrow, I’m dragging poor Livi to Babiesrus and Target first thing in the morning to see if they got a shipment in. All over a toy. Elmo.

Livi’s Bedroom Update

We started priming this weekend, and it’s going well. Because we have the stupid paneling upstairs, it just eats up paint like crazy! Mike went out and bought a paint spraying to save time, and boy does it! We’re going to work on it all this upcoming week and hope to have it finished by the weekend. I always thought painting took one day – eh, it takes us weeks! ha!

oh! And these are the colors we decided on by American Traditions…well, I guess it’ll only be one, we just haven’t completely decided yet. It’s between the Prairie Willow and the Zen Garden.

Sick

Augh I hate being sick. I haven’t been sick for a long time, so I guess I knew it was coming! And I would rather it be now so I’m all better by the time I start work. Still sucks though. Luckily Livi and Mike don’t seem to have it – yet anyways!

I still want to add some stuff, but Livi woke up and I haven’t had the time so far. But it’s coming along!

Our 3 year anniversary is coming up in 6 more days! Yay!! We still celebrate our ‘dating’ anniversary though too which was May 1999! Wow it’s been a long time. And now helping Emily plan her wedding allows me to relive the good ole planning days! I should have been a wedding planner….ha!
